The New York Times has just released its list of what they claim to be the 100 best books of the 21st century (so far). I thought I'd have a gander and I was a bit disappointed, but I do think the list was decent enough and had a pretty good representation of backgrounds. Perhaps a few too many short story collections? I saw a few people on YouTube comment that they had been chosen to help compile this list. There were some interesting videos about it in the run up to it! One book I had recommended to me via these videos was This Is How You Lose the Time War, by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone, which I am definitely enjoying. My personal number one pick of the century so far is The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins, and its two sequels. I did enjoy the prequel as well and I'm excited for the Haymitch-centric prequel coming out next year.
Here are my results from the NYT article:

What did you think of the article? Did you agree or disagree with it? I'm sure most of you have read more books on the list than I have! What are some of the books you want to read? Let me know in the comments.
